Collex · Commerce infrastructure for headless Shopify

Your products live in Shopify. Your buyers are everywhere else.

Collex is the pipe between your catalog and every surface that sells: ranking pages, comparison pages, Google Shopping, Meta, structured data, and AI search. Built for headless and Hydrogen stores, the ones no Shopify app can reach.

The catalog teardown is a free 30-minute audit of what your store is missing in search, feeds, and structured data. No lock-in. Live in about 30 days.

The leak

Go headless and Shopify's whole ecosystem stops working for you.

Every Shopify SEO app injects into a Liquid theme. Hydrogen has no Liquid theme, so none of them install. The native Google and Meta channels emit your myshopify URLs, not your real storefront, which gets your catalog disapproved. You are left hand-building all of it.

  • 1No SEO app can touch your pages. All 40+ of them (Booster, SearchPie, Avada, Yoast) work by injecting into a Liquid theme. Your storefront does not have one, so installing them changes nothing a buyer or a crawler ever sees.
  • 2The Google and Meta channels break your feed. They can only emit URLs on a domain Shopify serves, so your products point at the wrong storefront and get disapproved at scale.
  • 3Comparison pages do not exist anywhere. Not one Shopify app generates "X vs Y" or "alternatives to" pages, on any theme. That is the search your buyer makes right before they spend.
What we built for one store
Every layer, hand-built, on a 31,000-product headless store.

Ranking pages and schema across the catalog. A 42,000-item Google Shopping feed on the real domain. A Meta feed. A live AI-agent manifest. Sitemaps. Not one of those could be installed from an app.

Reference build: a Hydrogen record store, live today.
The engine

What Collex installs on your store

One fixed-scope build. Five systems that compound, wired into your existing theme and left running.

Discovery

Programmatic collection & comparison pages

Buyer-intent collections plus the "best X for Y", "X vs Y", and "alternative to" pages generated from your catalog. No Shopify app builds these, on any theme.

→ Captures the search people make right before they buy
Machine-readable

Structured data across the catalog

Product, Offer, and Review schema at scale, in the raw HTML. This is what earns rich results in Google and what AI answers quote when they recommend a store.

→ Rich results + eligible to be cited by AI
Shopping feeds

Google Shopping & Meta, on your real domain

A hosted product feed built from your live catalog, pointing at your actual storefront, plus ongoing feed health. This is the layer the native channels get wrong on headless.

→ Products approved and selling, not disapproved
Foundation

Technical baseline

Sitemaps that cover the whole catalog, canonical hygiene, crawl control, and Core Web Vitals, so everything above gets crawled, indexed, and rewarded.

→ No index bloat, no crawl waste, faster store
AI search

Ready for the buyers who ask instead of search

Shoppers now ask an AI which store to buy from, and it recommends one. Being present is automatic. Being chosen is not: it comes down to whether your product data is complete and your content is worth quoting. We build both, and we ship the agent manifest on your real domain.

→ Be the store the answer names
How it runs

From teardown to ranking pages

Catalog teardown

We audit your catalog, competitors, and the searches you should own. You get the map before you spend a dollar.

Build the inventory

Programmatic pages, schema, and the free tool go in, matched to your theme and brand voice.

Index & harden

Technical baseline and GEO layer ship so everything gets crawled, indexed, and cited cleanly.

Measure & expand

Monthly management: track what ranks, kill what doesn't, and widen the winning page types.

Why pixelCove

We build this on our own stores first.

Collex is not a theory. It's the exact system pixelCove runs, packaged into one fixed-scope offer so you get the outcome without the agency retainer sprawl.

  • Proven on real Shopify stores. We dogfood Collex on our own catalog builds before it touches yours.
  • Technical SEO at depth. Faceted nav, schema, Core Web Vitals, and rendering, handled by people who do this at enterprise scale.
  • Ahead on AI search. GEO/AEO is standard in every build, not an upsell, drawing on prior generative-search and high-trust vertical work.
  • Fixed scope, fixed price. One SKU, one timeline, one number. No open-ended hourly billing.

Straight answers

The objections, handled

Isn't this thin, spammy content?

No. Every page is built to answer a real buyer search with genuine intent and structure. We control faceted navigation and canonicals specifically to prevent index bloat, which is what separates programmatic SEO from doorway pages.

Will it hurt my current rankings?

The technical baseline is protective by design: cleaner crawling, correct canonicals, and faster pages. New inventory is added around your existing rankings, not on top of them.

Does it work on Hydrogen / headless?

Headless is what we built it for. We run this stack on a live 31,000-product Hydrogen store today. It works on standard Shopify and Plus too, where it adds the pages and feed health the apps still do not cover.

What is GEO / AEO and why is it included?

It's optimization for AI-powered search (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity). It's included because the data shows that's where the next wave of high-intent discovery is moving, and structured, citable pages are how you show up there.

Is this just SEO?

No. SEO is one layer of it. Collex is the infrastructure between your catalog and every surface that sells: ranking and comparison pages, structured data, your Google Shopping and Meta feeds, and AI-search readiness. On a headless store none of that comes from an app, because no app can install. An SEO retainer sells you hours against your existing pages. We build the layer your store is missing, at a fixed price, in about 30 days.

What do you need from me to start?

Store access, your competitor shortlist, and brand voice notes. We run the teardown first, so you see the plan before committing to the build.

Ready when you are

The teardown is free and specific to your catalog. You'll leave with the search map whether or not you build with us.
